IE University will teach two new degrees and four master’s degrees | Segoviaudaz. Segovia news and current affairs

IE University, in its Segovian campus, has received authorization from the Governing Council of the Castilla y León Government held this Thursday to implement two new degrees and four master’s degrees. She will teach degrees in Law / Bachelor of laws and in Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics / Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics, Law and Economics. Likewise, university master’s degrees in Business Administration for Architecture and Design / master in Business for Architecture and Design, in Technology and Business Management / Master in Technology and Business Administration, in International Business Administration / Master in International Business are offered. Administration (IMBA) and Executive Business Administration / Executive Master in Business Administration, with Brown University. In total, the Board has authorized the implementation of 40 official university teaching degrees, distributed in degrees, masters and doctorates at the public universities of Burgos (UBU), León (ULE), Salamanca (USAL) and Valladolid (UVA) and in the private Catholic University ‘Santa Teresa de Jesús’ in Ávila (UCAV), the International University ‘Isabel I de Castilla’ (UI1), in Burgos, IE University in Segovia and the European University ‘Miguel de Cervantes’ (UEMC) in Valladolid. The implementation of these studies has the favorable report of the Council of Universities of Castilla y León and the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Castilla y León (Acsucyl). The authorization of the implementation of these teachings is motivated by the request made by the rectors of the public universities of Burgos, León, Salamanca and Valladolid -on the proposal of their Governing Council and with the favorable report of their Social Council-, and the rectors of the Catholic University ‘Santa Teresa de Jesús’ of Ávila and IE University -on the proposal of its Board of Directors- and of the International University ‘Isabel I de Castilla’ and the European University ‘Miguel de Cervantes’ (UEMC) -a proposal of its Board of Directors-. The implementation of these studies has been verified by the Council of Universities, as well as a favorable report by the Council of Universities of Castilla y León and the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Castilla y León (ACSUCYL). These teachings are authorized by the Council of Government of Castilla y León, the Ministry of Universities will submit to the Council of Ministers the proposal to establish the official nature of the degree and its registration in the Registry of Universities, Centers and Degrees, for subsequent approval by the Council of Ministers and its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE). Undergraduate studies are those that aim to obtain a general training in one or more disciplines, aimed at preparing students for professional activities. On the other hand, the Master’s degrees allow the acquisition of advanced training, of a specialized or multidisciplinary nature, aimed at academic or teaching specialization, or to promote initiation in research tasks. Finally, a PhD is the third cycle of official university studies, leading to the acquisition of competencies and skills related to quality scientific research.
